* In the United States. C’mon, we need this everywhere.

the people’s supermarket.

As you know by now, I love plain and simple. Yellow makes me happy. Especially when designers use it to make designs like these. If you dig in the Narrylikes archives, you will most likely find yellow corporate identities – similar to this one.

Clean. Fresh. Happy.

“Set up in Spring 2010 by chef Arthur Potts-Dawson, retailer Kate Wickes-Bull and an army of others, The People’s Supermarket is a community-based shop that’s managed and owned by members and open to all. Much of the produce in the shop is locally sourced, seasonal and sustainable, meaning they stock the best food at the lowest possible prices.”

For the people, by the people.

“In recent weeks the supermarket has also opened its own in-store kitchen – The People’s Kitchen. This serves up food cooked by chef Potts-Dawson, using ingredients from the supermarket itself.”

You can thank Unreal for this design. Please visit their website and tell them that we love them. Yellow too.

P.S. I love brown paper bags too.

just → moved.

What a fun design by Transformer Studio? Love the simple, doodle look and you can almost tell what it is for, without reading what is written on the box. Yes, I would use this company, just because it is good-looking.

Time to buy a more brown boxes, my chunky black markers have been feeling lonely.

stupid little biscuit.

You stupid little biscuit! I really want a stupid little biscuit. Paccino’s is a coffee shop and has a lot to say.

They have very bright coffee cups with stories on it too.

Sometimes they do not really care what they say, which is why everyone loves them. If you want to see their flickr set – please do, preferably with a coffee in hand.

Look out for the sugar sachets, you might find an inspiring message or two – like: ‘Fiddle with during awkward chat’, ‘Brown Sugar for Snobs’, ‘Not you again’, ‘This sachet does not entitle you to start thinking you’re something special or anything.’

You know, stuff you want to hear every now and then.

topshop make up.

Sarah Thorne must have had loads of fun designing the packaging for Topshop‘s make up range(s).

This might be a case of “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life”.

I can already see her holding every little container, every little box in her hand, and just doodling onto it. Back to basics and like my teacher always said – “when you get stuck, go back to pen and paper”.

bag cap.

Copco‘s bag cap is honestly the best thing since sliced bread.
How amazingly cool and clever is this? Makes me want to “bag-n-cap” everything.

“The Bag Cap seals in the freshness of bagged foods without removing the item from its original packaging. Simply attach the two-piece Bag Cap to your open bag, then when you need some chips, candy, frozen vegetables or grains, simply flip open the cap and pour out as much or as little as you need. After you’re done, snap the cap closed and store.”

Too awesome.

pimp my pretzel.

Now you can change your ordinary food into bling in seconds. Thanks to The Deli Garage and creative agency Kerefe. Have a look at all the other products they have on their websites too. Here’s to being different.

michael molloy.

They’re slightly leaning to the right, but I am loving the ?uestlove illustration by Michael Molloy.

He also has Sticky Licks Surf Wax, too cute huh?

shoebox art.

This morning I was looking at an empty shoebox that has been lying next to my bed for the last 2 weeks. Whaaat? Yes, I am a mess. No mo, no mo!

Shoebox Art caught my eye and I might just get a little creative over the weekend.

pantone home paint.

Samy Halim came up with this beautiful design – Pantone Home Paint. I will not even mind having these randomly stacked around the house.

And I love that they are more ‘square’. Different.
