jeremyville community service announcements part 3.

By now, if you follow my blog, you will know all about Jeremyville’s Community Service Announcements. Part 3? That is how many times I have mentioned it. Three times already, and yes – there will be more.

Want to see more? You can buy a few here (me too, please).

Back to the announcement. Imagine…

cdefgabc.

Other than being completely blown away by Lernert and Sander, I love what they have to say about their glass harp.

“Commit and dedicate yourself to even the most stupid ideas that come to mind.”

And then you just do, do, do!

Again, commit and dedicate yourself to even the most stupid ideas that come to mind.

There you go. What do you plan on doing next?

doing it, happily.

“If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.”

Let’s add something to that.

If you are happy with who you are, it does not matter where you are.

I have been living in Narry’s Hole for 5 and a half years. The Hole got its name, because it is small, old and I never liked it. The Hole still has the ‘originals’ – the kitchen still has the wonky wooden cabinets with the red ‘marble’ counter top. The bathroom still has magic mint green tiles and a black toilet. Yup, very 70s, but not necessarily the cool 70s.

“Ugh, this is not good enough.”

The majority of people around me constantly had problems, some would complain about work, and nothing would ever be good enough.

And then? What happened then? I got stuck in a rut.

And then? Then I went to bed one day. Woke up the next morning and decided enough is enough.

The easy option is to run away. If you forget about your past and all the daily reminders of who you are, it is easier to move on, right? Stop lying to yourself.

Honesty is key. Being honest no matter what. Do not lie, not to others and not to yourself.

I started doing what I love, looked at my bucket list and thought ‘why not?’.

Today, I am happy with myself. Painted my bedroom walls charcoal, have hot pink all over the place, wear crazy leggings (zebra print still being my favorite), I travel to cities I have always dreamed of making my home, I meet people I have always wanted to meet.

And do you want to know what is ahhh-ma-zing? I am attracting people who are in the same headspace. People who are happy with themselves, people who have made it big and are still working towards becoming an even better version of themselves.

If you can dream it, you can do it. Reading a book, will not help you. Books offer advice, but it is only once you start doing somethingand you follow through – that everything will fall into place.

“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.” – unknown

I am dreaming bigger than ever and yup – I am making it happen.

iwantalittleoneplease.

No words. Just that I really want / need this little one. Please. Seriously.

what do you do?

The power of inspiration. Makes you want to go out there and get it.

“My name is Kid Cudi. I’m the dream weaver of songs. What do you do?”

meet my childrens.

Can I have a drumroll please? Or wait, can I have a Travis Barker snare instead? Mixed with a little bit of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Cheek to Cheek‘.

“Heaven… I’m in heaven, and my heart beats so that I can hardly speaaak…”

I think that should do it? Or maybe not, but it’s close enough to introduce you to my childrens. Yes, I always wanted to be mother, but I did not quite realize that my first set of childrens would look like these.

Please note: “childrens” – instead of children, because there are just too many. They have names like Pinch O’ Peach, Blushbaby, Chatterbox, Honeylove and the naughty one is called Oversexed, but I love her too.

gimme gimme gimme 001.

I am going to start making “gimme gimme gimme” lists, because I realized every time I write something down on my blackboard – I get it within a month (depends how much I want it).

Why “gimme gimme gimme”? Well, I believe if you say something 3 times, you mean it. If you want something, why not ask? Plus, I watched Disney’s Pinocchio and it reminded me what happens when you wish upon a star.

Yes, this is a large order and an expensive one, but here we go:

Now if you will excuse me, it is time to hunt down some big, bright and sparkly stars.

almost there.

I am ‘almost there’, I have never been this close.
Not much left to say, other than – it will be here soon and things are happening.

Yes, I said happening. Finally happening.
This makes happeee. Triple ‘e’.

stoop.

“In architecture, an (urban) stoop is a small staircase leading to the entrance of an urban apartment building or other building.”

I want a stoop, because this photo made me fall in love. Every morning I would like to sit on my stoop with a cup of tea, during the afternoon I would like to sit in the sun and at night I would like to have many interesting conversations – on my stoop.

One day.

road trip.

There will be a mini road trip this weekend, if you live in Cape Town you might know what I am talking about and you might know where I will be spending most of my weekend.

However, it is time to decide where I will be spending my December / January holidays. Time to service the good ol’ trusty Chevy Truck or book a flight? What to do, what to do? Oh, and where to go?

I will definitely NOT mind taking a road trip and having a burger.

At a place like the Pleasant Ridge Store, in good ol’ Wisconsin.

Schmawl town Amurr-kah.

Thanks to Mr Michael Williams aka A Continuous Lean for the photos.
