secretary trunk.

“Crafted by antiques dealer and furniture maker Timothy Oulton of London, our oversized steamer trunk armoire is configured as an ingeniously designed secretary.”

For only $2995 you can get the Mayfair Steamer Secretary Trunk in Vintage Cigar Leather (lined in leather-edged canvas).

It’s more “different” than “nice” and I am slightly distracted by the view (and the chair).

the inspired life.

Do yourself a favor and look at the larger photo. Beautiful. The perfect bedroom. Neutral colors, a few spot colors here and there – and light. Lots of light.

I just love “The Inspired Life” section on the fashion label, Cole Haan’s website. Which is where I found the photo of my favorite bedroom.

“Cobbling together a life from what inspires you (family, friends, art, nature, community, competition, adventure, love) is the ultimate individual sport. We admire those who jump in with both feet, who seek out the sweet spot between ambition and satisfaction. The ones with a renegade sensibility, unwilling to settle for anything less than brilliant. So if the shoe fits…”

The photo was taken by The Selby and it is definitely worth having a look at the rest.

And I of course need the Verona Air T-Strap in Woodbury (Brown). It even has Nike Air technology. Holla!

selby randoms.

The Selby is one of the websites I go to probably once a week. I have seen all the photos a few times, but I can still look at it over and over. There is something about seeing how other people live, that makes me feel at home.

These are just a few randoms I clicked on today. Not necessarily my favorites and in no particular order, here are a few randoms from The Selby.

“The Selby is in Your Place.” The book will be out soon. Narry needs this. Please? I do not ask for much, but this is one of the top 5 items on my wishlist.

every home.

Every home needs a kitchen with a big sink and a big counter.

Every home needs a comfy seat and spot colors.

Every home needs a pup.

Spot the pup. Kill the clutter.

Every home needs light. Big windows and lots of natural light. Hello big kitchen window.

And according to Narry, everyone needs a home in Brooklyn.

Love.

table&tennis.

“We no longer work solely in the office, play in the game room, or eat in the dining room. Work, live and play have morphed together.”

You like? I like! For an office / boardroom – I might even love. If you like this as much as I do, tell Ryan.

You want a Table&Tennis table – umn, ping pong… errr, desk too right?

merchant house.

Everybody is talking about Merchant House by Søren Rose Studio.

Simple and typically Scandinavian design. Retro and contemporary furnishings. Quite a mix, but I love the clean cut and then of course, the color.

Hello Desk, you have pretty computers. Kinda dig your friend – the wall – too.

doggy table.

Designer Quentin de Coster had a fun and thoughtful idea. Seeing that the doggy table is for kids, why not let the kids design it? That is exactly what he did, he had a team of 5-year-olds and their assignment was: “Draw me some tables and some doggahs.” The result? A doggy table for kids BY kids!

All of the drawings drawn by the kids were interpreted and transformed into this intuitive dog-table amalgamation. It’s the kid size, it’s the kid shape. It’s even got a kid-container for all the drawing utensils and whatnot the kid is gonna use to draw all over the walls!

apartment swap.

I would swap Narry’s Hole (my apartment) for this one any day. Fresh, clean and clutter-free.

Until then I will slowly start by taking elements from this oh-so-gorgeous apartment and make Narry’s Hole look better.

kate and keith.

The couple shares a lovely little apartment with their little one and it sure does have a whole lot of character – in New York. Okay, let’s love… seeing that we love The Selby so much.

communicative coffee table.

I’ll admit, the first thing I thought when I saw this table was the white chalk powder that would end up all over the place, but at the same time it can be very useful too.

You know when you’re reading or have to make a quick note, but you can never find that little piece of paper to write down your thoughts? This is the answer.
