eco lids.

Clever and eco-friendly lids by Jack Bresnahan, who is a recent design school graduate. I love student work. Still so fresh and always creative thinking (well, for some).

What makes me love him even more? He said: “anything that ends up in landfill is simply poor design”. Amen brother!

Time to eat more guava halves, because I will need a few more tins.

pixelpads.

“Napkinds are so passe”, but wait – who needs a napkin when you can have an iPad? But wait… you did not book a flight to the US to buy one – or you just did not want to stand in that queue. Okay, now think iPad. “No plugs. No batteries. No charging. Always on. The perfect place to dump your brain.” No charging? Nope.

Introducing PixelPads.

Like Kermit the Frog says, “It’s not easy being green.” It’s even harder when your product is made of 99% paper. Fortunately, with a little research and a little more determination, we made it happen. Our products are created using vegetable inks, certified and recycled paper products, and lots of little recycle reminders to help keep PixelPads zero impact.

Oh! And each PixelPad comes with Sharpies! Super.

sunbox.

Clever ideas. Out of the box, into the sun – clever ideas. Thanks to designer Jinsic Kim.

How does this Sunbox work then? It plays on this theory that on your way out to work, you hang out the device on your clothesline and when you get back in the evening, it’s all charged up. Latch it on to your TV, Music System, hairdryer; basically stuff that you use only when you’re back home!

lovepot.

The Lovepot is a humidifier which is no bacteria, non-electric, eco-friendly and an aroma releaser. It was designed for the Nanum project that is a charity project to donate all profits to educational scholarships of needy children.

Cute and colorful. Won’t mind having one of these to add a little bit of love and aroma to my office.

mosstika urban greenery.

Here’s a different kind of Urban Greenery – moss style or Urban / Eco Graffiti as they like to call it.

One question: Aren’t these supposed to rot at some point?

old news.

Old News is made from excess felt from the production of indoor tennis courts. It was designed by Jonas Forsman in cooperation with Gothenberg, Sweden based studio, Creatables. When it is lifted up by its handle, the newspapers are secured for their journey to the recycling bin. This green product comes simply packaged with plastic rivets for easy assembly.

These are so pretty, I’ll just use it instead of a magazine stand.

eko stoplight.

An interesting stoplight design by Damjan Stankovic which will indicate – with a circular countdown meter around the light – the amount of time you’ll have to wait til the light goes green.

The ‘eko’ part comes in, because according to some this will give you the option to turn your car off and save gas – while waiting. Not sure about that one, but that’s what they say.

Still like the idea though.

andrea.

Designed by Mathieu Lehanneur and David Edwards of harvard university, Andrea is an air purifier which uses indoor plants to filter air. I am soooo intrigued by this guy, his concepts, products… he has beautiful ideas.
