single slim stacking ring.

Here it is. The perfect ring. The ring I have been looking for my whole life. The reason why I have not been wearing any rings – for years.

100% recycled and reclaimed and only 1 mm wide. Absolute beauty. I need one. Maybe two, so that I have the option to stack ‘em according to my mood.

Thank you Monika, founder of Favor Jewelry, who lives in Portland, Oregon.

lobster chair.

Maybe it is because it is almost 2am, and I want to sleep – but the Lobster Chair by Lund & Paarmann looks just too comfortable.

“The shell is laminated, bend wood with a walnut veneer at the back. Inside the shell we have used Pantera foam, as it is very durable and probably the least damaging foam regarding our environment. The swivel base is chrome-plated steel. The fabrics and the leather we are using for Lobster are of the very best quality.”

josef müller-brockmann.

Ever since I had my very first Art History class, I was amazed by all the “vintage” posters. You would think “what did they know?” It is probably more correct to ask that question today.

This is a collection of posters by Swiss designer, Josef Müller-Brockmann.

the chop shop.

Makes you want to go to your nearest meat market to buy a piece of meat. Thanks to the designers, writers, artisans and thinkers at Ptarmak for these gorrrgeous designs.

hard graft.

Narry has definitely liked the Hard Graft hats before. I cannot remember exactly when, but I remember these beauties. Hard Graft obviously has more beautifully crafted bags and pouches, but their site has been down, so now we cannot have a look at the rest.

For now I will leave you with these and let’s hope the website will be back online – soon.

selby randoms.

The Selby is one of the websites I go to probably once a week. I have seen all the photos a few times, but I can still look at it over and over. There is something about seeing how other people live, that makes me feel at home.

These are just a few randoms I clicked on today. Not necessarily my favorites and in no particular order, here are a few randoms from The Selby.

“The Selby is in Your Place.” The book will be out soon. Narry needs this. Please? I do not ask for much, but this is one of the top 5 items on my wishlist.

diet coke.

These extra special limited edition Diet Coke cans were designed by Tom Gauld to raise awareness (or awehness) of The Heart Truth – a women’s heart health program.

Sadly they will only be release in the US, but here’s an interesting little tidbit for you: Tom’s agency is called Heart.

ui stencils.

After my Fashionary post, I received a comment from Alan about UI Stencils. These are quite handy if you are into UI design for the web, iPhone and even the iPad.

I will admit that the Browser Sketch Pad caught my eye first. After that I noticed the column widths on the Stainless Steel Website Stencil Kit. Quite handy, but now I want these guys in Seattle to create more.

palmer & sons.

You can customize your own design too, not only by choosing the leather, but also the fabric.

Beautiful handmade leather bags (and a few other designs), by Canadian father, Nik and his son, Jack.

At Palmer And Sons we make all of our designs with only our own hands in Vancouver, Canada. My son Jack and myself design, prototype and produce each design one at a time from start to finish. Using traditional methods, heritage materials and vintage tools to bring you designs that are timeless and peaceful in their principles. We hope you enjoy our limited issue designs, we feel they speak to a slow, calm, and more enjoyable mode of life.
