get the hang of it.

There are clever people with even more clever ideas out there. How do they do it? All the time. Non-stop. Cleverer and cleverer.

Get the hang of it is a shopping bag by DEDE DextrousDesign. It has a detachable hanger that you can use to hang your new clothes up. These are colorful too.

Now do you see what I mean? Too clever.

the i-dog.

Hello little iron doggy.

“The i-dog is a part of a limited edition sculpture series created by Elda Bellone designed to explore how sculptures cross into function.”

He might be great company at an architectural firm. Not sure what I will use him for, but he is so cute – after a few days I might start talking to him. How can you not? Just look at him. Aw.

cheers.

My Moxy Creative obsession continues.
Their latest poster series is dedicated to the 2010 World Cup and beer (of course).

The countries include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, England, Germany, Ghana, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Uruguay and USA.

Disappointed that you did not include South Africa – the host’s - local beer, Moxy. Tsk tsk tsk.

P.S. I wish it was Oktoberfest every month. Oompah.

Pick a color and worrrk it.

I would love to sink into that couch. Right now.

Hello lil retro tee-veh.

“Ultimately, the true worth of a kitchen lies in the quality of the memories and valuable time spent in it.” Aw.

Did you know that yellow flowers bloom first during spring? Yellow is a happy color, yet the least favorite color chosen by people.

Yes, grey is a color too, and a color that tends to make me feel very comfortable. My bedroom walls are the same color as the first photo. Yup, dark and lovely.

So pick a color, any color. Which ones do you prefer?

dear little tin soldier.

Thank you for making my Monday rainbow bright and reminding me why I love navy blue clothes.

Linda Dearie is one of my new favorites. There are so many blogs dedicated to ‘look what I wore today’ and I have to admit that most of them are boring and none of them really stand out. Just another blog. Yes, I know Narrylikes is just another blog too, but you know what I mean.

Then there are websites like Chictopia and Lookbook – more photos of people and ‘look what I wore today’.

This morning I discovered Little Tin Soldier and I ended up clicking, and clicking, and clicking and I could not stop. Linda not only takes photos of her outfits, but she draws a picture too. It was so refreshing to go through all her different looks.

I love her style and creativity.

Thank you Little Tin Soldier!

high-style.

There is something ‘old’ and vintage about this editorial. I find it very funny that it is high fashion, but at the same time you will spot random hands that are holding the different shapes – not very ‘high fashion’.

Admire the quirky.

If you have to see what my little apartment looks like at the moment, you will know that I love color. It affects your mood instantly.

You all know M&M’s. You recognize the colors and the little ‘m’. Without really having to read anything, you will know exactly what is going on when you look at this brand book for M&M’s by George Katz.

The magic of color.

And another favorite, simplicity.

drawing exercises.

16 Months of drawing exercises. 16 Months of drawing exercises in Microsoft Excel. Yup, you heard me. I get excited when a formula works in umn… that program with the ‘xls’ file extension. The one with all the rows and columns.

Danielle made these drawings, using only – Microsoft Excel. Say what? Yes, I cannot believe it either, but I will try.

What is your day job, Danielle? I am asking, seeing that these drawings took you 16 months to complete. Job well done, might I add. As in ‘woah‘.

runaway.

There is something about this girl in the Kanye video. The colors, the way she moves.

Runaway is a full length film, and yup – Kanye did it again.  It is probably best if you watch it on YouTube. The bigger, the better.

Every scene is like a painting of some sorts, and the colors make me happy.

And then, there are the ballerinas. The black swans.

Please note: This is only a small clip, watch the FULL film here.

Thank you Kanye. Thank you.
