“Do you remember the iPad?”
“The what?”
“The iPad, you know, that…”
“Ohhhh yeah, that thing! Ha ha ha.”
“Ha ha ha.”

What a clever idea! Urban Station is not a coffee shop or an office. However it is in Buenos Aires, and if you do not have an office space of your own – then you might as well take your laptop and work from here.
Even though it is not an office, it has projectors, LCD screens, printers and fax machines.
Even though it is not a coffee shop, you can get coffee, breakfast and super-fast WiFi (of course).

Urban Station has a very cute website too and I really, really, really do hope that there will be more of these.

Not that I started cooking or anything, but this is one handy kitchen tool. Just think of it, you will not have to wash the floor after cooking anymore.
Perfect. Perfect color too.
You can thank designers William Thompson & Alex Thompson – with a little help from Professor Tsai Lu Liu (Auburn University) – for this clever design.

What a fun design by Transformer Studio? Love the simple, doodle look and you can almost tell what it is for, without reading what is written on the box. Yes, I would use this company, just because it is good-looking.

Time to buy a more brown boxes, my chunky black markers have been feeling lonely.

Nice boombox lady. Boombox? But wait, what is that? It is a picnic box. Really? Uh huh, have a look.
There is the Urban Picnic Box – for those days when you really feel like having a picnic on the street corner.

Then there is Today’s Date Box – to share with that special someone. If the date does not turn out very well and you cannot think of anything else to say to the ‘other person’ – you can color pictures. See? Aah, good thing for any date – doodles.

Do not worry, if you enjoy corporate picnics, Boxal did not forget about you – the Office Escape Box. Please note: keyboard included.

Now all you need is a sunny day and if you really need some, they have accessories too. Designed to compliment your favorite box.

Aah, yes. Something else to scribble and doodle on. It looks like it might be a member of the Apple family – do not yell at me for saying that – but it does.
Nice, sleek design huh? Unfortunately, I do not have space for it, because my cordless* is currently on the floor. A cordless is a phone you have at home – before cellphones made an appearance – it stays at home.
In the meantime you can thank Shin Go Eun & Giha Woo for this clever design.

* I have a VCR too.

“An ambigram is a typographical design or artform that may be read as one or more words not only in its form as presented, but also from another viewpoint, direction, or orientation.”
John Mayer by John Langdon. Permanent smile on this side.
So different, so clever and it caught my eye immediately. All smiles.
Do you now feel like toilet papering something?

Clever and eco-friendly lids by Jack Bresnahan, who is a recent design school graduate. I love student work. Still so fresh and always creative thinking (well, for some).
What makes me love him even more? He said: “anything that ends up in landfill is simply poor design”. Amen brother!
Time to eat more guava halves, because I will need a few more tins.

When last did you throw a frisbee? For all the 90s kids, it is a round thing that you throw at your friend – your friend catches it and throws it back at you. No, not a ball. A ball is also round, but a frisbee is flat. A frisbee is round and flat, kind of like the way some people see the world. Flat, but round.
Oh, nevermind. You will most likely see hairy men with gold chains and Speedos, sporting frisbees at the beach.
“Creative people who like to play.” No, not the hairy men – right now I am talking about you and Freestyle Magazine. Issue 02 is out and you can buy it online, but what makes it so much better than all the other magazines that you can buy (and read) online?
This:
You choose your favorite frisbee color (different for each issue of the magazine) – preferably a color that will match your Speedo (or not).

Then you place your order. Who would have guessed? A magazine tucked inside your frisbee.

Issue 02 features Paul Smith. Hello Mr Man!
