Thanks for sharing this vid, Vera :)

“I wanna be a billionaire, soooo freakin baaad…”
New York City-based jewelry designer, Satomi Kawakita, has stolen my heart with her beautiful jewelry. I have never been a fan of giants diamonds and shiny bands. I prefer wonky and ‘nothing near perfect’, even though in my eyes Satomi’s designs are perfect.
Just have a look. How beautiful are these rings?

And if color is your thing, you might like these.

I would like to have all of these please, but at a few hundred dollars a piece, I will have to make a serious plan.

“Armed with a vision and their cans of spray paint, El Mac and Retna will transform a forgotten wall into a piece of art. They combine their artistic forces in a specific way: El Mac creates huge lifelike portraits and Retna, calligraphic brushwork and decoration.”

“Sticky tape with parallel dots that you can hand punch to write a Braille message.”
Something you did not even think of, huh? Do not feel bad, same here. Not exactly the first thing you would think of when it comes to tape and labeling things everything.
At the same time I want to thank someone for this invention. Yes, let’s call it an invention, because something this life-changing deserves a special award (or a few).

Thank you Kukil Han, Yongju Kwak, Young-Seok Kim & Dongbin Shin!

Celine Steen was born in Switzerland, but have been living in California since 1999. In 2005 she went vegan and began her blog ‘Have cake, will travel‘ in 2007 . Oh, happy day!
I saw a photo on Pinterest and now I am hooked, and even happier to know that most of these recipes are vegan.
Hungry yet? Want more? Have cake, will travel.
Sounds a bit boring, huh? Nope, different kind of schedule.

Crafts and projects. Finish something you started a long time ago or start something new and creative.

Go to a library or bookstore – or even better – read that book you bought last year. It is still waiting for you.

Try a new recipe, bake cookies. Spice cookies, yum.

Write a letter to someone. Clean up that closet, donate. You do not need 8 pairs of jeans or 40 pairs of shoes.

Take a road trip (or rather save that one for Saturday or Sunday). Try a new restaurant. Go for a walk. Visit a friend you have not seen in a while. Anything, try not to stick to the normal routine.
What better time to start a new, weekly schedule than on a Tuesday? Perfect.
Thank you Stephanie for this great idea.
Nope, nobody is getting married. At least not today.
Also, bridesmaids dresses are terrible. Do not go ‘matchy-matchy’, unless they are 3 and 5-years-old. Then you can go ‘matchy-matchy’.
Tiaras are okay. Remember you are not a queen though, so do not overdo it. Or wait, forget the tiara.
Honey compliments ham. (Just remembered that. Thanks boy who cooked 3-course-meal last night.)
Nobody is getting married.
Vera Wang dresses are not necessarily the best looking dresses, you might as well forget about that dream.
Bridesmaids. Must-see movie. Maybe not the one to watch with your mother, but definitely with your girlfrands. Guys might will like it too.
Two words: Wilson Phillips.

* In the United States. C’mon, we need this everywhere.

You have to be kidding.
Toast and chocolate. With olive oil, and sea salt. Toast. Dark chocolate. Slightly melted.
I have no idea what to say, but Amanda said “I first had this treat late one night at a tapas bar in Barcelona. The woman behind the bar set down a small plate, then explained apologetically, ‘This is not our normal dessert. Our pastry chef is on vacation.’ Moments later, I was very glad he was.”
For some strange reason I feel like screaming.
Eight 1⁄4-inch-thick baguette slices
8 thin 1-inch squares best-quality bittersweet chocolate
Extra virgin olive oil for sprinkling
Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
1. Heat the oven to 350 ºF / 180 ºC. Lay the bread slices on a baking sheet. Lay a chocolate square on top of each. Sprinkle with a little olive oil and sea salt.
2. Bake until the chocolate is molten but not seeping through the bread, about 3 to 5 minutes. The bread should crisp slightly but not toast. Sprinkle with a little more olive oil and salt, and serve immediately.
Serves: 4 (and then you ask for more)
