On Sunday I took my friend to the airport. She arrived in Shanghai on Monday and on Tuesday she found something that – according to her – is an essential item for my closet.

Her words (translated): “I saw a wedding dress yesterday and I thought that it might be something you might like. You know, to keep in your closet – just in case.”

There is a wedding album too. Too precious.

Weird? No it is not. These are things that real friends do.

I am always talking about my Oupa*. Why? Probably because we get along so great. We are very similar and have inside jokes, so we will laugh about things and nobody will know what we are talking about.

He likes to draw and leave his mark wherever he goes. He lives on a farm (in case you did not know this already) and after my grandma passed away he spray painted the water tanks purple. He then decided to draw faces onto it.

They sent eggs from the farm. Yes, the eggs have faces. Yup, there is a horse too.

Not sure if I want to eat it, because these are precious eggs.

He will be 88 years old in December and he recently started to fill his very first Moleskine – with art, of course. It is for me, who else?

He is my man.

*Oupa is Afrikaans for Grandpa.

Chairs. Bright, colorful and very interesting-looking chairs. Caught my eye. Noticed the rest of The Salad Shop only after ooh-ing and aah-ing over the chairs.

The Salad Shop is a fast-food restaurant in Singapore. Salads? Fast food? Yup.

You have to love their slogan too – “for herbivores, carnivores, and everything else in-between”.

Antonello Fusè gives life to old broken chairs. Not very practical and your clothes might end up being poked in weird places, but Narrylikes these anyway.

Not that I started cooking or anything, but this is one handy kitchen tool. Just think of it, you will not have to wash the floor after cooking anymore.

Bonnie is wearing my favorite outfit, something I would want to wear right now.

I am loving cropped sweatpants at the moment and during a recent internet search (trying to find the perfect pair), I discovered YesStyle.

Now would be the perfect time to close my browser, because I can see where this is going.

I will be back later, maybe another day or next month.

Meet the ladies of Elle UK.

Georgia Collins, Kat Webster and Bonnie Rakhit. They are my favorites and I will be adding the Elle UK blogs to my ever growing Google Reader family.

They have a blog dedicated to “what elle wears to work“. It proves (yet again) that it does not matter what your personal style is, you just have to make it work.

Definitely worth a look.

My Post-it notes finally found friends. Look how happy they are when they are together.

Sweet.

“Two’s company, three’s a crowd.” That is what they say, but do not think my Post-it notes and the wooden stamps will mind having more friends – the CuteCute Hello Bear index stickers. Peek-a-boo.
