Very happy, and pretty ones too. We had the Cape-Town-Bloggers-End-of-the-Year-Get-Together (what a mouthful) tonight at Field Office.

Look at all the shoes. I mean, look at all the shoes.

A huge thank you to Fable Fairy for organizing the get-together. Vicky was the keynote speaker and Sam, the MC. It was fun to see familiar faces and to meet new ones. Also, thank you to all the boyfriends for taking most of the photos. We could not do it without you, of course.

Jasna, Heidi, Narry, Anthea, Nicole and Betty.

Ohhh, fun!

Hello little box. I did not want to open you, because you are too pretty. You even had a heart inside. Three, to be exact. Made by the lovely Megan-Jayne McFall of Starbright Silver.

Friday, December 10, is International Human Rights Day.

Barefoot Against Poverty is a campaign by Every Human Has Rights and you can join by going barefoot for education, peace, the rights of indigenous people and much more.

I have decided to join Emily Pettit-Coetzee (and others) by only wearing one pair of shoes for a month.

Starting today, December 1st. Only one pair. I will need a different pair of shoes for running (obviously), but other than that – only one pair.

Ready. Set. GO!

My Moxy Creative obsession continues.
Their latest poster series is dedicated to the 2010 World Cup and beer (of course).

The countries include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, England, Germany, Ghana, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Uruguay and USA.

Disappointed that you did not include South Africa – the host’s - local beer, Moxy. Tsk tsk tsk.

P.S. I wish it was Oktoberfest every month. Oompah.

Did you know that yellow flowers bloom first during spring? Yellow is a happy color, yet the least favorite color chosen by people.


Yes, grey is a color too, and a color that tends to make me feel very comfortable. My bedroom walls are the same color as the first photo. Yup, dark and lovely.

So pick a color, any color. Which ones do you prefer?
