a few little things.

Woah, have not been here in a minute. These few little things I would like to remember and share with you.

As we are nearing the new year, please be safe, be silly and be kind.

Unfortunately I do not have links to all these pictures (I tried…), if you do spot these online, please send the link – I would love to give credit where credit is due.

melanie amaro.

‘Melanie Amaro’, that is all I have to say – and that I am obsessed with this show.

team bryce.

We had a weekend celebration of ‘Team Bryce‘. Cake. Oh my goodness cake. In every shape, flavor and color.

Wrapping paper that will hurt your eyes and make you feel slightly dizzy when you stare at it for too long.

Puppy tees, kisses and cuddles.

Balloons and helium.

Beer, buckets, branding, B-cakes and Bobby.

Red velvet cake with coconut cream cheese frosting – thank you Alex @ Charly’s Bakery.

where is narry?

Narry moved and found a family, including a little baby.

Narry enjoys wheat-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan food. Newbie. Strawberry, banana bread – do not forget the buttermilk. Always add buttermilk. Vegan-what?

Narry enjoys online shopping a bit too much, but sometimes it is necessary.
Beach days are fun days, especially when the dogs wear hoodies.

Lately, Narry enjoys homemade soup. Bread, there has to always be bread. Warm. Crispy. Brrreaaad.

There is no home like a home filled with dogs. Puppies. Wrinkly puppies, and their little ponies.

Narry has been going for anti-aging skin treatments and started using ‘bionic face cream’ – amazing stuff. There are action heroes in the bathroom and we support the Sunflower Fund.

Food, food and more food. Birthday caaaaake and beautiful people. Food. Late night dinners and early morning dinners. Yes, I said dinner. It is all about the crispy bacon, flapjacks and maple syrup. For breakfast, not dinner.

Lately Narry climbs mountains too. A few steps closer to heaven.

Where have you been?

bridesmaids.

Nope, nobody is getting married. At least not today.

Also, bridesmaids dresses are terrible. Do not go ‘matchy-matchy’, unless they are 3 and 5-years-old. Then you can go ‘matchy-matchy’.

Tiaras are okay. Remember you are not a queen though, so do not overdo it. Or wait, forget the tiara.

Honey compliments ham. (Just remembered that. Thanks boy who cooked 3-course-meal last night.)

Nobody is getting married.

Vera Wang dresses are not necessarily the best looking dresses, you might as well forget about that dream.

Bridesmaids. Must-see movie. Maybe not the one to watch with your mother, but definitely with your girlfrands. Guys might will like it too.

Two words: Wilson Phillips.

* In the United States. C’mon, we need this everywhere.

little bowls for little things.

Coins, keys and jewelry*. These are the little things that are usually lying around the house.

“A place for everything and everything in its place.”

Sure, I like to live by that rule. Liar.
I said ‘like’, that does not mean that I actually live by that rule. But I would like to and I am working towards it.

In the meantime these little bowls (and trinket trays) by MarciG will be perfect for the little things that do not have ‘a place’ yet.

Or wait, if they live in these little bowls and on these trinket trays, it will be their ‘place’, right? Either way, want it.

These colors make me feel happy and calm at the same time, and that is a good thing.

* Not diamonds.

going places.

Yes, I have not been around lately and there are a few reasons why:

1. Computer ‘problems’
2. Internet ‘problems’ (no more internet at home)
3. Extended mid-year holidays
4. New projects. Exciting and ‘pretty’ ones too. Bring it.
5. Moving. Yes, soon Narry’s Hole will be a thing of that past

I refer to it as ‘problems’, because these are not real problems – they have been positive ‘problems’. Good things happened because of these ‘problems’.

What should I call these ‘problems’ then? Blessings? Yeah, blessings.

These are a few of my favorite ‘going places’ things.

“Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels. Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles. Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings…”

happy easter.

Time to fly away and spend time with my family. Big yay!

It will be even better than Christmas time, because for some reason more people travel during the Easter holidays? I guess Christmas is usually when you stay at home (for some).

If you celebrate Passover, hang in there. The fast is almost over :)

Vacation mode: on.

balancing blocks.

My Easter holiday will be spent far away from the internet, computers, shops – pretty much everything you are in contact with on a daily basis.

You might ask ‘what do you do everyday?’

Well, the last time I went to our family farm, I baked something new every second day, which meant that we always had cake or baked pudding to eat. Including the world’s best (really, it is the best) – berry trifle. My own customized recipe.

Other things on the to do list: reading, taking photos of unusual things, entertaining the dogs (or it might be the other way around), bicycle outings, climbing hills and red sand dunes.

Oh and patience. What better way to test your patience than building blocks? Not just any blocks, balancing blocks.

P.S. Can I get a set that consists of hot pink, purple, yellow, white, and dark denim blue?
