the best thing about me.

… is you. What a cute (and happy) song? It makes me tap my feet and sing along.

Ricky, you are pretty.

my smile is my makeup.

My new favorite lyric ‘my smile is my makeup’.

Which obviously has a positive and negative meaning – but I like the positive one (you do not need makeup, a smile is enough). Yay Smokey Robinson.

Yes, I am still following American Idol and Paul McDonald makes me smile every time.

narrylikes these beats.

Unst, unst, unst.

Everybody likes it when they discover a new band or their (new) favorite-song-that-they-cannot-stop-listening-to, right? If you look at my last.fm profile, you will notice that I have a few of those. The last one will most likely be ‘NY Is Killing Me‘. Uh, yes.

the boys.

Here are some of the boys that I have been listening to lately (over and over).

Gil Scott-Heron released the album I’m New Here in 2010. Jamie xx (from The xx) thought it would be a great idea to remix the album and call it We’re New Here. Jamie thought right. Then again, he always does.

Jamie Woon‘s Spirals and Gravity entered my most played list at a very rapid pace. Not quite sure how I feel about his other tracks, but those 2 beauties (yes) have my heart.

Ray Lamontagne did a cover of Gnarls Barkley‘s Crazy. Can I get a ‘yes please’? If I remember correctly, this one played for at least 5 hours (on repeat). Yes, I know – crazy.

the girls.

Not a big fan of female vocalists, but these 2 ladies have been on repeat.

Adele. 21. Do I really have to say anything else? One of my all time favorite albums.

Agnes has not been on repeat as much as Adele, but she is a pleasant find. She is pretty and you can say the same thing about her music.

the others.

You say it as if it is a bad thing – ‘the others’. No, I promise you, it is a good thing. Not quite the same as ‘saving the best for last’, but almost.

It is because of people like Casey Abrams, that I have decided to watch American Idol this year (never do).

please share your favorites.

Sharing is caring, and when it comes to music, it is love. Aw.

casey abrams.

Are you an American Idol fan? Do you watch it religiously? I do not.

I remember watching the first ever American Idol with Kelly and Justin. Voted every single week. For both of them. Yes, I could not choose a favorite at the time.

Since then I have not watched any of the other seasons. I do believe Adam Lambert has something special though (but I have not seen him on American Idol), Oprah convinced me that he is fabulous.

Uh huh.

This year is Season 10 of American Idol. Season 10 people. That means we are all getting old, because that means 10 years of American Idol. With each year you would expect the talent to get better, unfortunately that is not always the case.

(Huge) BUT.

There is something about Casey Abrams that is… I do not know how to put it. He might not be the best singer you have ever seen, but this kid has soul and it shows.

Lovvve it.

in your atmosphere.

Gets me every time. Every time.

By Woolfy. We like stripes and bright colors. We like Woolfy too.

decoded.

A friend recently gave me 2 books - Egg and Bird, and Olivia.

Yup, my children’s book collection is growing rapidly. There is another book that I would love to add to my collection – even though it is a bit more grownup – Jay-Z’s autobiography. Decoded.

Oh, just another book by some rapper. Boring? No.
Jay-Z knows how to do it. How to do what, you might ask? Everything.

This time he has teamed up with Bing and creative agency, Droga5. They hid all 320 pages of Decoded in 13 cities and fans who found these pages “got a chance at two tickets to any Jay-Z concert anywhere, for life!” Please do not stop touring Jay.

I thought he retired anyway?

I would jump up and down if I see one of these. Not only because of the tickets, but because of this great campaign.

Yay Jay, you did it (yet) again.

Oh, and if you are interested there is a black leather Gucci jacket (for Decoded) and if you have a few extra pennies, there is a custom Nets jersey with page 86 on it. Although I do not think this one is for sale.

back 2 kool.

Yes, I have been talking about this a little bit too much – not only for my own good, but everyone else’s too.

But seriously – Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer and Turbo B.

Turbo B will be performing Snap! hits, in case you were wondering who he is.

Rhythm is a Dancer‘, ‘The Power‘ (yes, I’ve got the power) and who knows what else, but I cannot wait anymore. Less than one month to go.

As you can see (on the left) we have the Golden Circle tickets (which in my case means front row) and on the right? Why is there a picture of gold spots? Those gold spots my darling, those gold spots are on the pants that I bought. Leggings. Black leggings with gold spots. Beat that.

I mean c’mon, you need gold pants for this gig. Yes, need.

Doom-doom-doom doom doom doom… I’ve GOT the pow-ah!

human nature.

This song has been stuck in my head for the last 2, maybe even 3 weeks.

Michael Jackson live in Japan, 1987.

last leaf.

“My name is Natali, my friends call me Narry and my Shrink calls me Toast.”

The official video for OK Go‘s ‘Last Leaf’.

Thank you Miss Moss.
