Every time I travel, I buy new luggage. Odd, but this happens to be very true. Soon it will be time for me to hop onto an airplane again – and I definitely need new bags.

I am not a fan of the basic ‘suitcase’. I prefer duffel bags and I have one that has been with me for a very long time. Paid $10 for it at Target. Best bargain, because it has been traveling with me for 9 years.

Quilted bags appeal to me (lately). Why? Still not sure, but it started a while ago with that giant Hello Kitty Quilted Face bag. Then I saw the Lug Puddle Jumper.

And then – I saw the quilted weekend bag by ‘H by Harris’.

Need this. I really, really do need this bag. While we are at it, I would love to have a matching quilted tote and quilted laptop bag too.

Did I mention that these are ultra soft, hand quilted, nappa leather, luxury bags? Prices start at £225. Yes, pounds – as in British pounds. Oh my.

california summer lovin.

When I am in California, I would like to park here for a bit. Cory Buckner Architects did a good job designing the second storey – yup, it is a brand new addition, that is why I am sure they will not mind.

Okay, hang on. You have to see the larger version of the sunny photo.

Sunny, summer lovin’ all year round.

converse: you’re it.

These Converse ads are probably my favorites at the moment. Each video suits an individual style. Which always makes you wonder – what is your style?

“The SAK x Converse First String collaboration continues at the highest level of craft…

Just to refresh your minds on this Spring Summer 2010 season partnership, when Ryusaku Hiruma married his Italian craftsmanship and eye for detail with Converse’s legacy brought through the Chuck Taylor, Jack Purcell and One Star. Together they created a collection of highly desirable and individual footwear.

The Japanese designer has been pursuing age-old Italian craftsmanship in Florence, Italy for some time now and wanted to pair its history with Converse’s rich tradition. “I wanted to bring together the history of Florence and Converse’s legacy,” says Ryusaku Hiruma, designer and founder of SAK. Re-designing and hand stitching the true Converse classics, he has given each shoe leather soles that resembles that of a luxurious dress shoe, and ink printed logos that gives them a playful feeling. Each shoe comes in natural shades of tan, off-white and black leather with hand cut logos.”

jeremyville community service announcements part 2.

Earlier this year, you were introduced to Jeremyville’s Community Service Announcements. Jeremy’s art always makes me smile and I want to keep it in a place so that I can look at it whenever I want. Which probably explains the 1-inch bunny – from ‘Thoughts in Jeremyville‘ by Kidrobot – on my keyboard.

Back to the announcements.

You can see these in Paris this week (21 September – 9 October 2010), in a large format newspaper/poster, at Parsons Paris School of Art and Design – 14 Rue Letellier, 75015 Paris.

Other artists include: Genevieve Gauckler, BFree, Marcus Oakley, Fabrice Houdry, Jody Barton, Postics, and more.

Only 50 copies of each artist’s newspaper produced, so get your bootay over there.

Curated by Fabrice Houdry / Pierre et Adrien.

luca luca.

Is Raul Melgoza, the new Valentino? Oh no, you did not just say that Narry.

New York Fashion Week – it has been a dream for many years. Probably because Mamas taught me to appreciate the texture and flow of fabrics, and that we used to watch runway shows every week. Oh, please! Long before ‘Fashion TV’.

Mamas used to love Michael Kors, Valentino and Karl. I still love Karl, he feels like family.

Luca Luca’s Spring 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection at New York Fashion Week reminds me of Mamas and I can hear her comments when I look at every single piece.

Oh, I love my Mamas and the classic runways.

saddleback leather.

With all the girly stuff, the makeup, fashion stuff and denim talk, I should make things a bit more rough and tough.

Cough. Uh, leather. Do you like leather?
Yeah? Okay, good.

First things first, sorry Peta. We still love you.

There are briefcases, wallets, accessories, messengers, travel cases, satchels, duffles, backpacks, laptop bags, pouches and suitcases. If you are buying a gift, but you cannot decide which one to buy, there are gift certificates too.

Gimme gimme gimme.

P.S. These bags and accessories are not old school. There are covers for laptops, Moleskines and even iPads.

Found these beautiful photos via Nathan’s flickr.

grey, heather grey.

It would probably make sense if I change my last name to Grey, and call my daughter Heather. You know, Heather Grey – my favorite grey.

Some people like to wear black, and only black. Narry likes to wear black and Heather Grey (and denim). My favorite tee (and most likely, clothing item) is an oversized Heather Grey tshirt that I bought at Forever21 last year.

Now, please keep in mind ‘Heather Grey’ and ‘oversized’.

Today marks the day of Alexander Wang. Nope, not the wedding dress lady, the Heather Grey tshirt guy. Today, I discovered T by Alexander Wang.

Why only now?

My favorite American Apparel top is oversized and Heather Grey.
My favorite, thick, New York hoodie, is Heather Grey.

Do not worry, my apartment aka Narry’s hole – is still dressed in hot pink.

i have adopted a few more childrens.

A few months ago, you were introduced to my childrens. I am such a proud mommy and I have enjoyed them so much, that I could not wait to adopt a few more. This time I did not get as many, because having childrens, well – it is a full time job and my apartment is getting too small.

Some of them are really sparkly. My smallest (and actually, the youngest too) likes demin. Her name is Bobbi.

I like having a big family and soon, there might be a few more. I will have to ask the shimmery ones if they mind sharing the spotlight.

Applause.

horsey.

Like the Flobots track “I can ride my bike with no handlebars, no handlebars…”

Maybe not with this bike, because you will end up being black and blue.

It does not matter, because I would love to have a ‘Horsey’ bicycle by Eungi Kim from Korea. ‘Horsey’ has been shortlisted for Design Boom’s ‘Seoul Cycle Design Competition 2010‘.

Please deliver my ‘Horsey’ to Oupa’s farm. The red sand dunes and purple water tanks will be your landmarks.

super skinny dip dye jean.

Say it fast, 3 times.

Super skinny dip dye jean, super skinny dip dye jean, su…

Here is another one: Razor Blue Blueball. What? Yup, that is the color.

Try to say that fast, 3 times.

These are Tory Burch jeans, and I laahk em a-laaht. Especially the super skinny razor blue blueball dip dye jean.

Awesome.
