it started with a little key.

Today I had to find an outfit and I had to find it fast. So I found a key and the key unlocked the best shopping experience – ever. Seeing that I do not like shopping, I go the store, take what I need and go home. Browsing and trying on different outfits – not my thing.

That is exactly what happened today. Found the skirt I had in mind at the first store I went to. The first shoe store I went to, had the shoe I wanted and the first jewelry store I went to, had exactly what I wanted. It took me 30 minutes to find the entire outfit.

Tadaah! Even got a key (it is attached to the skirt – something to do with Alice in Wonderland).

The jewels.

I am known for only buying what I ‘need’, today I bought something that I wanted. Could not resist – ‘if the crown fits, wear it’.

exergian.

Albert Exergian. You have all seen his minimalistic posters of TV Shows.

Have you seen the movie posters?

Albert added more to his collection, this time – minimalistic album covers.

A few minutes ago I stumbled across his portfolio. That is a whole different story – for another day, but there is too much to show you, so it is probably best if you just have a look for yourself.

airplanes.

Everyone loves B.o.B, Hayley‘s voice sounds really good in this song and I have a date with an airplane real soon.

how to paint a rainbow.

Put paint onto windscreen wiper.

Wipe.

See? It is that easy, but Helmut Smits thought of it first.

meet my brother & sister.

This has been a whirlwind of a week, mostly good.

Most valuable lesson learned?
When you close the door to one thing, you open the door to many new (and often exciting) things. If I have to tell you about this week, especially if I have to explain everything, it might be best if we just have a cup of coffee. Or rooibos tea, because I have not had a cup of coffee in years.

Most important news?
I have a baby brother and a little sister. No, this did not happen over night – it happened within a few hours. No, my mother did not give birth to 2 kids and no, my dad did not have these kids with another woman. Like I said, it is best to discuss this over a cup of coffee / tea.

All that matters is that I finally have the baby brother that I always wanted and I have a younger sister too. Too much excitement. I know, it might seem a bit confusing and it might sound as if I have completely lost my mind, but they are real, they are in their 20s and they are MY brother and sister.

Yes, it is okay if you are jealous. Might be a little jealous of myself.

Most important part to remember?
“It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten”* as long as you “make peace within”.

pauls boutique.

For the longest time now, I have been looking for a rather large, in Narry terms – BEEG – bag. With lots of color and if it is bright or has anything zebra, you can pass it on. Please.

Unfortunately, the Hello Kitty Quilted Face Bag is forever sold out and for now, these will have to do.

Look, sexy inners.

Yup, they are sexy on the outside too – with bright accessories and color, color, color!
These are big.

This one is small.

I think I might love Paul’s Boutique.

On the Narrylikes list: A pink Gracie, a zebra Tilly Twister, a mushroom Roxanne. Maybe (for later) a pink / navy Shelly Shopper, a leopard Polly Padlock Purse, a muted Leopard Lizzie – and I will not mind having a zebra Polly Padlock either. Yes, Zebra is my thing.

jose lopez.

When I lose something or someone, I tend to develop some sort of an obsession. One of these obsessions are sugar skull girls – and ‘clown’ girls. No, not the scary clown that I sometimes still wonder about. Why do you want to dress up like that and squirt water? Okay, that is a bit off topic.

My sugar skull girl obsession has been around for a while now and tonight I discovered Jose Lopez. I honestly do not think I will be wrong if I say that he is one of the most talented tattoo artists – as in like… ever. Yes, that was a sarcastic tone, but anyway, I love this man’s art. Please have a look at the rest of his work at Lowrider Tattoo Studios, you will be blown away.

Please tell Jose that Narry sent you, I need to score a few points so that I can get an earlier booking. Wish.

Watch out for arudima too.

hot dogs and poppy flowers.

These are the results of a tantrum. Today started off a little weird, then all of a sudden it felt like everything was caving in – thanks to people and their selfish ways (mostly). Lately at work I tell everyone – well, just about everyone – everything. So they know by now that I do not take most things seriously and when something ‘serious’ happens, I get over it very quickly.

Today was a little different. Had a bit of a tantrum, talking a bit too loud on the phone and yapping like a real girl. During lunchtime I left the office, to blow off some steam and buy (too many) macarons – hoping that the sugar rush would calm my moods. Did not quite work.

Back at the office I went around sharing macarons with some of the guys. Obviously gave them a little macaron lesson too. Back at my desk, there were flowers – bright yellow poppy flowers. The guys bought it for me ‘just because it looked like you were having a really rough day’. Yay.

After that, I got hot dogs too. Yum.

Might have to plan a tantrum in the near future, because it seems to pay off.

axum and lalibella.

Axum and Lalibella? These are stools of course – inspired by the Ethiopian immigrants who live near David Keller.

I like to call them candy chairs and yes, I would love to have a few. Hello David!

cello bar.

The name ‘Lime Studio‘, already made me want to look. Add ‘Cello Bar’ into the mix and you will make me very curious. All that is left to make me want to click to see even more? Add some color and you will get the Narrylikes approval.

Oh, and bicycles too.

You will find the Cello bar/café in Kilkis, Greece and you can thank Lime Studio for the design (yes, we should start thanking people for making all things nice).
