disney vs the simpsons.

Disney is by far one of my favorite things. Add Karl Lagerfeld into the mix and you have my attention. The April 2010 issue Elle Spain features illustrations by Ulrich Schröder – “La Moda Animada“.

You might remember “The Simpsons Go To Paris” in the August 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

Makes you wonder… what’s next?

i want an oven.

Narry’s Hole (my apartment) has a tiny kitchen and this tiny kitchen does not have space for an oven. Boo hoo. I miss baking. Which is probably why I like Joy, the baker.

Another reason why I love Joy is because red velvet cupcakes are one of her favorite recipes. I love Billy and Joy’s red velvet cupcakes remind me of Billy.

Right, back to the oven. With almost no space, I am thinking small. Unfortunately the Easy-Bake oven is the only thing that came to mind. Do you think it might be able to bake red velvet cupcakes?

vogue italia.

I Spy” - Anja Rubik shot by Ellen von Unwerth for Vogue Italia.

Won’t mind having a Vogue Italia subscription, because of all the beauuutiful editorials. Ti amo Vogue Italia. Ti amo.

lobster chair.

Maybe it is because it is almost 2am, and I want to sleep – but the Lobster Chair by Lund & Paarmann looks just too comfortable.

“The shell is laminated, bend wood with a walnut veneer at the back. Inside the shell we have used Pantera foam, as it is very durable and probably the least damaging foam regarding our environment. The swivel base is chrome-plated steel. The fabrics and the leather we are using for Lobster are of the very best quality.”

breathturn.

icade.

Okay now I might want an iPad. For only $150 you can pimp your iPad with an arcade cabinet. All for the love of Pacman.

In case you were wondering, the iCade App will be available at the App Store soon. For free.

oh just do it already.

“Eliminate the word impossible from your thinking and speaking vocabularies. Impossible is a failure word. The thought ‘It’s impossible’ sets off a chain reaction of other thoughts to prove you’re right.” – David J. Schwartz from The Magic of Thinking Big

“When you believe something is impossible, your mind goes to work for you to prove why. But when you believe, really believe, something can be done, your mind goes to work for you and helps you find the ways to do it.

Which takes me back to the “job vs career vs calling”.

I really think I have found my career, which will eventually turn into my calling. Not over night, but it will definitely happen.

It is time to DO and time to stick to it. No matter what. The easiest thing is to distract yourself and slow yourself down. How? Oh my every little excuse.

Sometimes there are “bigger” excuses and sometimes it involves moving on and losing people, but beautiful Kandee Johnson said something earlier and that something will stick and it will make me work even harder.

“Sometimes, if you’ve lost a love one… you can take that love you have for them, and go after all your dreams and hopes, with them as your ‘heavenly encouragement’. Take that love for them, and let it help me your confidence, when you feel you can’t do it anymore… do it for them!

So set your goal and work towards your calling and also remember do it for yourSELF. Of course.

Geddit, geddit!

what's that color?

Ever wonder what that color you love so much is called? Yup, believe it or not – all those hexadecimal colors have names.

What’s That Color is a clever little site that will tell you the name of the color and when it’s a few shades lighter or darker you will spot an “almost” at the bottom right corner. Clever!

If you are like me, you will try another, and another, and another… fun! You can submit more colors too.

What’s your color?

bag cap.

Copco‘s bag cap is honestly the best thing since sliced bread.
How amazingly cool and clever is this? Makes me want to “bag-n-cap” everything.

“The Bag Cap seals in the freshness of bagged foods without removing the item from its original packaging. Simply attach the two-piece Bag Cap to your open bag, then when you need some chips, candy, frozen vegetables or grains, simply flip open the cap and pour out as much or as little as you need. After you’re done, snap the cap closed and store.”

Too awesome.
