chocolat factory.

Perfect packaging for knowing and getting exactly what you want.

Their website is very disappointing. Sigh.

Somewhere it says “Chocolat Factory cocoa comes from organizations that follow the economic and social development of the African harvesters and help in their children’s education.” Okay, they get a few points for that.

merchant house.

Everybody is talking about Merchant House by Søren Rose Studio.

Simple and typically Scandinavian design. Retro and contemporary furnishings. Quite a mix, but I love the clean cut and then of course, the color.

Hello Desk, you have pretty computers. Kinda dig your friend – the wall – too.

keri aka the body.

My motivation for going to gym? Keri Hilson’s video for “Energy“.

Some people stick a picture of a beach babe onto their fridge to lose weight. I have an image of this body mentally engraved into my head.

Worrrk it.

billionaire boys club ss10.

For all the boys who like to occasionally dress up, Billionaire Boys Club introduced their Spring/Summer Collection for 2010. Fancy schmancy, love the detail.

need to want less.

Eerlier this month, I posted lists by Recovering Lazyholic. Today, one of my dearests lil frands directed me to his flickr. Time well spent.

Use nicetranslator is you do not understand that. I kid, I kid.

De wachtende spijker is Dutch for “The Waiting Nail”. I’d like a few of those and it reminded me of the construction workers at Rockefeller Center. This photo was taken on September 29, 1932 on the 69th floor of the GE Building.

I have a framed version in my apartment and my stomach turns every time I look at it, but I love it oh-so-much.

pencil printer.

I heard about this little creation a while ago and then recently discovered the updated version.

Clever idea, because if you make a mistake you can erase it with an eraser aka “a rubber”. Only problem with that, what happens after a few weeks when the pencil starts fading due to smudges?

Either way, it looks pretty and it’s small. If you are interested to know how it works (in detail), they explain it perfect at Yanko Design and there is a video too.

There is something about a clean, crisp, black letter on a sheet of white paper.

aspiral clocks.

The red ball rests on the spiral ledge and as the spiral turns slowly over twelve hours, the ball travels along the ledge to the middle. When the clock strikes 12, the ball drops through the hole in the middle and then the whole process starts all over again.

The Aspiral clock comes in a box with two balls and 6 AA batteries. Apparently you will receive a certificate of ownership too.

Now pick a color, any color. They have “rainbow” on the list too.

oh-em-gee ralph.

Backstage. Nuff said.

The first sketches shot by Nathan Copan made me go “oooh”, in a big way. How special and spectacular (not a word I ever use) is this? Definitely a big wow, but you know what? One day.

You can see the rest of Nathan’s Ralph Lauren photography at Trendland. From the first sketches to the actual production and then to the runway.

whimsy & spice.

By now, everyone knows that I have a slight obsession with Billy’s Bakery. Their red velvet cupcakes are honestly one of the best things I have ever tasted. Yes, I am very serious when I say that and I will even put my name on it.

Today I discovered Whimsy & Spice. Located in Brooklyn and by the looks of it, it will mostly likely be my weekly supplier of cookies. Just look at it – double YUM.

Chocolate Orange Cardamom, Honey Lavender, Brown Sugar Gingerspice, Cinnamon Chocolate Malt, Chocolate Chili Cashew, Chocolate Gingersnaps – to name a few.

For now Woolies “Suikerkoekies” will have to do. Have you tried those? No? Go to Woolies now, as in right now. I promise you will kinda, sorta fall in love.
